I'm Depressed

EP —

On I’m Depressed, Nerdy KnowZ strips everything down and steps into full vulnerability—no masks, no flexing, just truth. The 4-track project traces a real emotional arc, from denial and pain to reconnection and grounded acceptance.

The title track opens the EP with brutal honesty. Nerdy admits to masking his depression with drugs, crying over lost time with his kids, and questioning everything from love to faith. It’s confessional rap at its rawest—anchored by bars like “Don’t know that I’m depressed ’cause I take drugs” and “What if Jesus came back and told you he was Lucifer?”

Track 2, Nobody KnowZ It, finds him deeper in the storm. He’s not just discovering the pain—he’s living in it, venting through every bar. Lyrics like “I been having way too many mental breakdowns” and “Got mental health issues that got you scared of me” show an artist using music as his last outlet.

Then comes You—the breakthrough. Written after reuniting with his two oldest children, it’s a turning point. The chorus feels like a prayer, a promise, and a realization all at once: “Even when you don’t see me, I’m around you / I wasn’t able to be me until I found you.” He’s speaking to his kids, to God, and to himself. And for the first time, it sounds like healing.

The closer, All Good (feat. J.B.T.K.), leans into balance. J.B.T.K. brings a melodic, grounded energy. Nerdy reflects on sacrifice and staying grounded with bars like:

“The fam is what I do it foe, and my fam is who need me most / I might sell my soul / long as my family gon get the dough, I ain’t gotta problem dying broke.”

More than a project, I’m Depressed is a personal timestamp—a vulnerable, spiritual, and emotional document of a man finding his way through darkness toward purpose.
